The first volume in a series the gumshoe is compiling featuring some of the most fun discoveries in 60s & 70s Italian library production music. Ranging from jazz to rock to soundtrack to avant garde and permutations of all that and more–vol 1 is heavy on spaghetti western gems–tracks from movies often filmed in Italy and scored by Italians to replicate/conjure the wild west of 1800s United States. Many late 60s psych rock and weirdies offset the gunslinger fare–much of this music was created without specific movies or advertisements in mind–it was simply made to be housed in production facilities that would peruse (the often nondescript) records and find cues to use in television, cinema and advertisements. These treats are just the tip of the iceberg of what has been discovered and continues to be uncovered. Enjoy!
